Pigeon Spiking, Canon Street, London
The below photos illustrate spiking on a grand scale - approximately 1200 meters of Avipoint P14 and P20 Stainless Steel Spikes were used to prevent pigeons from gaining access to all areas of the bank within the center of London. The overall work was completed with 3 men over a 4 day period - all ledges were wire brushed down and a sealing fluid added to allow the spikes to attach and last for a longer period
Access was via an installed scaffolding system at the front and rear of the property and for the central light well we used 2 absailers to proof the window ledges as access was difficult due to internal building employees etc. all parapets and ledges were spiked to prevent pigeons roosting and perching.
