Pigeon Post & Wire System, Imperial College, London
The photos below show a series of bird wire attached to all ledges for a newly built accommodation block for the imperial college site in South Kensington, London. Approximately 10,000 meters of bird wire was installed to the front and rear of the premises to stop pigeons from landing and perching.
The majority of the wire was attached to the brie soleil blades to the rear of the property with 1 single section of wire on each blade section. Access to install the bird wire varied from access platforms (inc a30m spider) and scaffolding. Due to the nature of the building the work was staggered over a two month period
